The Daily Management System (DMS) provides a framework that allows an ongoing self-review of the site’s operations and performance. It integrates the interdependent elements of Leader Standard Work, Focused Improvement, Visual Management, Teamwork and Work Standardization at the process level. It also standardizes the feedback and reporting communication channels at the site.
The DMS meeting structure kicks off in Operations Alignment 2IA2, where the management, department and Daily Operations Review (DOR) meetings are established. Then the work team meetings are established later through the implementation of Visual Management (VM) and Teamwork (TW) TRACCs.
Due to the integrated nature of the TRACCs, where it makes sense to drive early performance improvements, selected Stop n Thinks and Implementation Actions from TW and VM TRACCs can be pulled forward to make the DOR meeting more effective.
