When a TRACC gets upgraded, it contains updated assessment criteria, actions and content. Assessment criteria and planner activities (Stop 'n Thinks (STs) and Implementation Actions (IAs)) are mapped from earlier TRACC versions to the later versions.
This means that you can no longer add new TRACC assessments for older versions. However, you can still access the older assessments history.
Once the upgrade is complete, Version Upgrade Guides will be available in the TRACC Platform Reader. This TRACC resource lists all aspects affected within the latest TRACC version .
Note: In special cases, there may not be Version Upgrade Guides. For example:
- Customised TRACCs
- Versions older than V5
- Some TRACCs such as AE, ES, UDM from V5 to V7 are not available
What is the impact on Assessments and Plans?
Assessments
Assessments updated from an earlier to later version will have added criteria, and some criteria will also have been removed in the later version. This means that the maturity rating in the upgraded assessment will change. It is recommended that you re-assess your area(s) to ensure that your team answers all the new criteria.
Plans
New planner activities have been added in the later TRACC versions, some have been moved to different stages, and some have been removed entirely. If you have entered comments, target dates or responsibilities to an activity that is not in the latest TRACC version, you will no longer see those user entries in your plan.
Notes:
- It is recommended that plans are exported to Excel prior to upgrading in order to keep a history of activity. For TRACCs where assessment criteria and plan actions in the previous TRACC version
have been removed in the latest TRACC version, data you’ve captured (comments, target dates or responsibilities) will no longer be available after updating the plan.
- If you have customised TRACCs in V5, you will not automatically be upgraded to the latest content. You will need to request an upgrade through your CCi Account Director.
What about documents added to older TRACC versions in assessments and plans?
All documents from older TRACC assessments and plans will be accessible in the mapped locations in the latest version.
In some cases, an Assessor might have to upgrade the Assessment responses, if an area has not assessed the latest version yet. You can refer to the What is the purpose of the Assessment Upgrade Responses button? article in cases like these.
