Portfolio of Evidence (PoE), Best Practice (BP) and Standards documents are all either files, comments or URLs; which can be accessed via the Assess, Plan, Tasks and Documents pages.
The differences between these documents are as follows:
Portfolio of Evidence documents (single area)
- are documentary evidence of the progress of an area
- are available to the specific area it was uploaded to
- are added to assessments, or to individual assessment criteria, while you conduct an assessment for a specific area
- can be added to planner activities while capturing your implementation progress
- can be added via tasks page while completing tasks
- anybody with assessment access can add PoE, except guests.
Note: It is possible to associate PoE documents with multiple areas if uploaded via the Documents page
Best Practice documents (widely available)
- are guidelines, resources, how-to's and practical examples
- forms a knowledge library of internal best practices
- are typically added by Best Practice Leaders (BPLs), but these permissions can be customised to other roles
Standard documents (widely available)
- are documents established by Best Practice Leaders (BPLs) and approved by the Site Steering Committee (SSC)
- provide guidance on the design, use, or performance of products, processes, services, systems or persons. i.e. they are Must Do's in order to comply with organisation requirements.
- are typically added by Best Practice Leaders (BPLs), but these permissions can be customised to other roles
- Standards documents consist of the following:

- Standard Operating Procedure
- Procedures
- Standards
- Resource Materials
- Leading Practices
- Policies
- Note
- Control Plan
Area Associations for Best Practice and Standard documents
- are typically applicable to the entire organisation
- can be associated to multiple or specific nodes in the Area Tree. E.g. US and EU regions but not ASPAC.
- wherever these documents are associated, they will be visible in all the child areas as well
- can be added to any TRACC Stop ‘n Think or Implementation Action via the Documents page
- can be added to assessments and assessment criteria via the Assessment Template (located at the top of each TRACC assessment in the Assess page)
- only accessible to users from the areas the documents are added to, and the associated child areas
