Plan tasks are assigned from the 'Plan' section in the TRACC Platform. The assignee (person who needs to action the task) will receive the assigned task in their TRACC Explorer 'Plan Tasks' list, under the 'Tasks' tab.
Assignee's will require an Explorer identity in order for the assigner to assign the task.

Assign the action item, and its process steps, to the responsible person

Select a start and target date for the task

Insert any comments if applicable

Please also note the following when assigning Plan Tasks:
- In order for the assignee to receive the task in their Explorer 'Plan Tasks' list, it will have to be assigned at process step level in the Platform.
- When assigning tasks, essentially, one user is responsible for an entire action. The task should first be assigned at action item level, followed by assigning all the process steps underneath that action to the same user.
- Assignees will not receive an email each time a process step has been assigned to them. We have taken this approach to avoid inundating mailboxes with too many task emails.
- The assignees will however receive a weekly reminder email that will trigger every Monday morning, prompting them to complete any outstanding tasks.
- The assigner can only assign Plan tasks to users who have an Explorer identity, and whose identity is in their same area, or a parent area. It is not possible to assign a task to someone whose Explorer identity belongs to a sibling or child area, as only users in the same area and above are guaranteed to have the same TRACC subscriptions. (Users in sibling and child areas may have different TRACC subscriptions)
