Various factors need to be taken into consideration when upgrading TRACC content:
1. Additional Practices
V7 introduces two new practices, namely, Operations Alignment and Stable Operations.
Operations Alignment focuses on:
- integrating the site with the broader supply chain
- driving rapid deployment and early wins
- aligning sites to secure manufacturing flexibility and sustainable performance improvement
Stable Operations focuses on tackling variation and driving a mean shift in performance by reducing instability in the process.
2. TRACC Maturity Scores
V7 Content includes revised and new assessment criteria to ensure that the maturity level remains relevant in the changing world of work. As a result, there will initially be a drop in TRACC Maturity Scores when the initial content upgrade occurs.
It is important to ensure that any team or individual targets linked to TRACC Maturity Scores are revised as a part of the upgrade process.
3. Changes to Training Workshops
As part of the V7 Content upgrade, all the training workshops have been revamped and improved.
The biggest change has been the introduction of Implementation Strategy and Implementation Planning workshops for each practice.
In addition, a Leading and Managing Change Workshop has been introduced to kick off the Leading and Managing Change practice.
There are new and revised training workshops in each practice. To familiarize yourself with these it is important to consult the Version Upgrade Guides for each practice. Follow the numbers in the diagram below to access them.
4. Introduction of Blended Learning
All V7 TRACC training is Blended Learning, that is a combination of eLearning COGS and Applied Workshops. This innovation reduces the time taken to achieve competence, ensuring that teams effectively and efficiently implement the learning. There are also Competence Assessments for all the training modules to close the learning loop.
5. Training Preparation Time
It is important for the consultant and/or internal trainers to allow time for preparation for the Blended Learning Applied Workshops. This includes making sure all delegates are invited to complete the eLearning COGs, confirming the delegates actually do the eLearning Cogs, and customising the workshop material using the ‘Insights’ obtained from the delegates who have completed the COGs.
As this material has been upgraded and improved, it is critical that the consultant and/or internal trainer allows time to get familiar with the new materials, and actually completes the eLearning COGs themselves, so that they understand what the delegate has experienced.
6. Work Bundles
TRACC V7 introduces the concept of Work Bundles that target specific pain points within the client organization. These have been designed to achieve initial results quickly, while circling back later to implement the steps required to sustain the improvements achieved.
Work Bundles effectively prioritize critical ST’s and IA’s that will address the specific challenge from multiple practices. All the other ST’s and IA’s are 'switched off' until later in the process.
There are 16 preloaded Work Bundles on the TRACC Platform, however, the client can also design custom work bundles.
7. New Terminology
Some of the terms have been updated to reflect latest thinking and research. Should you come across a term you are not familiar with, there is a TRACC Glossary in the Document Tree - follow the numbers in the screenshot below to access it.
